I’ve been an accountant now for over 25 years.
I graduated from the University of British Columbia back in the 90’s with a degree in Finance. I never planned on being an accountant but realized fairly soon my degree wasn’t going to be enough to get the types of jobs that I wanted.
I finally ended up with a CPA (back then it was actually still CGA) in the mid-2000’s.
I started as an inventory accountant for a brewery in Toronto, then moved back to Vancouver and took a job as an Accounting Manager for a small travel company. From there, I moved on to Accounting Manager for a larger quasi-government body and then Controller for a wealthy family.
I am currently Controller for another family here in the beautiful city of Vancouver, British Columbia.
It’s never too late to get your finances in order!
